Description:  Corporate Site to promote the services of a Los Angeles based Estate and Business planning Law Firm.

The site is a clean, professional design as requested by my client to help him promote and inform his clients of the Estate Planning and Business Planning services offered for residences of the west San Fernando Valley area. The site is built on the WordPress 3.2 plateform with a wide variety of plugins and customizations including an event planning scheduler and SEO marketing tools.

I provided customized photography services for the homepage slider to promote the local LA feel for potential clients.

I recently finished a new client site for 24hr Care, a local company providing in-home senior care. I employed my normal Word Press custom CMS design for this project. the client had specific needs such as the ability to post their own article content, list upcoming community events, and resource both care givers and families interested in have their loved ones cared for.

The primary challenge of this assignment was to incorporate multiple form questionnaires that the client could control with minimal effort and zero programming ability. Fortunately my quest for a suitable solution lead me to machforms.com. These guys have it pretty much figured out, as far as form development is concerned. For only $39 I was able to acquire a fully functional forms CMS, but one that is customizable enough to fit most any needs and cool looking enough to impress clients. I’ll likely use it on all of my future sites that need a robust solution for form development. The admin is easy to manage and showcases the amazing power of this software. It was a real fine.

For the custom site homepage, I used the menu code system that I used on Broadcastsolutions.com. It worked quite well and matched their already established branding initiatives.

Federal Law was built as an information site as well as a lead generation site for the Law Offices of Steven E. Brown. Mr. Browns firm specializes in a niche area of the law that generates quite a bit of web based research. We worked together to construct a site where his staff could add keyword based content for the purpose of informing prospective clients as well as getting ranked for their specific areas of authority in Google.

I used a pre-built theme called Structure by Justin Tadlock, which is an excellent theme and “structured” well enough to allow for major customizing, which I did.

Additionally I provided photography services for the staff bios.

George is a talented jazz pianist that wanted a site to promote and sell his albums and tickets to his show. With his long list of contacts in the world of Jazz, George wanted to build a comprehensive jazz site to showcase and reflect his expertise and interest in the world of jazz. This would include interviews, music, and video posts. To achieve this I decided to use the Structure WordPress Theme by Justin Tadlock. Just is doing some really innovative development with WordPress themes, so I had been wanting to use one to learn his methods.

I considered WP-Ecommerce for the store portion of this site, but once I got into I realized it is a very flawed product. It’s built in tables, which is always horrible, and there is no easy way to set it up for a SSL (encrypted connection). I used Zen Cart which actually ended up being a far better choice.

In the end the client was very please with what I created for him. The site seems to fit his objectives and provides the content management features he needed, in an format that easy to maintain.
